If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram you will already know who Penny is, she is the face of Penny and Hound. Penny came into our lives 7 years ago at the age of 10 weeks and has completely and utterly changed our life in every way possible and is my inspiration behind the whole company.
Penny is a 7 year old mischievous, stubborn yet loving loyal beagle and my best friend.
Penny’s role is to sit pretty and show off our items, which she loves to do (well as long as I have a pocket full of treats) she’ll sit for hours.... Check her our wearing our range of Handmade Dog Collars!
Penny and Hound is my little baby that I’m ever so proud of 😊 I started Penny and Hound working from home while I was a full time career, I started off sourcing products from 3rd party companies such as dog bowls/bandanas/dog treats/ dog toys etc and mainly attended events with a stall to sell my products before I went live online. It was at one of these events where I only made a very small profit but managed to buy a second hand sewing machine and 2 meters of fabric. This changed the direction that Penny and Hound was going in completely and when I started I never imagined that I would be creating my own products from scratch with the use of a sewing machine.
And here I am 4 years later going from strength to strength!
Ahhh my other half! I really need to come up with a proper job title for him....without Callum’s help, Penny and Hound wouldn’t know where to turn during really busy times such as Christmas. Even though Callum has his own full time job he does all the post office runs for me which saves me a lot of time and gives me more time to spend working on orders. Luckily enough the post office is directly across the road from his work so doesn’t take to much of his time up either. Callum has also built the website for and will keep it maintained. if any of you know me you’ll know that technology isn’t my strongest point so Callum steps up to the plate for me and is doing a fantastic job!
